Nothing is safe, quick! Throw the computer in the fire!!

Online safety.

Some people take this very seriously to the point where they won’t even have an email address as they fear it could be hacked and their identity stolen. How they survive not receiving important emails about your long lost Nigerian cousin that wants to give you $$$ I don’t know.

To be fair, they have a point. Anything that is a computer or connects to a network has security flaws. It just takes the right mind to find that magic work around. Even that fancy new car you have can be hacked because guess what that’s a computer now as well.

In all honesty, no matter how safe and secure you are most of us will get hacked eventually. Identities are easily stolen especially with more and more people using social media. Even my mums on their now, I can still remember her screaming at the TV when I put a PlayStation controller in her hand.

However, there is a plus side to hacking, the ability to change the rules and see solutions no one else can. This is a skill we desperately need as the world moves forward.

Anyway if fancy listening to someone way more qualified to talk about this, check out this video with Pablos Holman doing a talk for TEDx Talks.
